Celiac Testing
If you have trouble eating bread or other foods with gluten, you could have celiac disease. To determine if you have this condition, consider taking advantage of the reliable celiac disease testing services from Test Smartly Labs.
What Is Celiac Disease?
Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease that makes ingesting gluten, which is a protein naturally found in substances such as barley, wheat and rye, harmful for people. This is because their bodies attack their small intestines as a response to this protein entering their systems. Often, genetically predisposed individuals are more susceptible to developing this type of gluten intolerance. Celiac disease is hereditary and can develop at any age once an individual begins consuming gluten.
If celiac disease is left untreated, it can lead to other detrimental and long-term health issues, such as:
- Gallbladder malfunction
- Liver failure
- Heart disease
- Vitamin and mineral deficiencies
- Anemia
While gluten is commonly contained in wheat, rye and barley, many other products can have gluten without you realizing it. A celiac test is generally the best way to determine if you have a gluten intolerance. You could also take a food allergy panel to learn about other foods with gluten besides wheat that could affect your health.
Celiac disease is a severe condition that requires lifestyle changes to ensure you stay safe and healthy. Completing celiac testing labs is vital to help determine if you need to take steps to protect your health because of a potential celiac disease diagnosis. When you take proactive steps to manage this disease, you ensure you can continue enjoying life to the fullest.
Thorough and Accurate Celiac Testing Labs
Whether you or someone you know has suspicions about having celiac disease, it's essential that you take steps to find out for sure. At Test Smartly Labs, we provide several gluten sensitivity tests to help individuals determine if they have any gluten issues. Our celiac tests use a simple blood or urine test to see if a person carries the genes that make celiac disease apparent. There's a chance you may just have a gluten intolerance, in which case the test will be negative.
Once you complete celiac testing bloodwork and receive results, you will know if you have this autoimmune disease. Sharing the results with your doctor can help you take preventive measures and make lifestyle changes that will help you reduce the inflammation of your small intestine, like maintaining a gluten-free diet.
You can rest peacefully knowing your celiac testing results are as accurate as possible when you choose Test Smartly Labs. We ensure all of our testing centers are sanitary, clean and efficient. You can complete a celiac test at your convenience whenever you want to check for gluten sensitivity and benefit from fast and accurate results.

Understanding the Differences between Food Allergies and Food Sensitivities & Intolerances
There are millions of people all over the world who have some kind of allergy, and they don’t even know it. Have you ever felt that as the season changes, your skin gets itchy, or you sneeze when you pet an animal, or you start wheezing or feeling bloated when you eat a specific food item?
The Importance of Allergy, Sensitivity & Intolerance Testing to Food, Pets, Molds, and Plants
Breaking down the common misconceptions surrounding various food intolerances.
Food allergies, food sensitivities, and food intolerances are serious business.
Zoomers Food Sensitivity Tests – Improve Result Accuracy
Let’s face it: health care is outrageously expensive in America, and the costs have been on the rise over the last couple of decades. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average consumer spent $4,968 on health care in 2018.
Causes Of Food Or Additive Intolerance
In a simple sense, intolerance and sensitivity can be further separated from allergies in that they simply mean your body isn’t able to process the problem foods, and this is typically an issue developed during digestion. As an example, intolerance to lactose is caused by an underproduction of enzymes by the small intestine that prevents the digestion of lactose. A lack of digestive enzymes is the root of many food and additive sensitivity and intolerance issues.
Another cause is chemicals within the food or additive that isn’t easily digested by the body, which is often the case with chocolate or coffee. Food intolerance can also be caused by food poisoning. Beans for example commonly contain aflatoxins that are consumed if the beans aren’t fully cooked.
Food allergies, food sensitivities, and food intolerances are serious business.
The impact of food allergies and sensitivities on the human body can range from mild discomfort to life-threatening, and as new research is developed regularly surrounding the health implications associated with food sensitivities and intolerances, it becomes increasingly obvious that the effect goes far beyond difficulties ordering at a restaurant or upset stomach. In recent years, the National Institutes for Health, one of the leading health organizations in the United States, has conducted extensive research about the impact that food allergies and sensitivities can have on not only one’s physical well-being but the overall impact such intolerances can have on the overall quality of life. With an estimated 32 million Americans impacted by food sensitivities or allergies (5.6 million of those being children), the importance of understanding the mental and physical outcomes of food intolerances simply cannot be overstated. Clearly identifying such conditions can also contribute to better health outcomes as well as an improved quality of life. However, while millions of individuals suffer from some form of food intolerance, very few are able to differentiate between a food allergy and a food sensitivity – a misconception that can lead to misdiagnoses well as unnecessary (and costly) medical tests that deliver no real answers. The end result? Prolonged suffering and discomfort, alongside an enduring risk to one’s overall health. While both conditions can range from being episodic, long-term, or chronic – there are several very specific differences between the conditions that can drive medical decisions, testing options, and preventative measures for individuals suffering from some form of food intolerance.

What’s The Turnaround Time For Lab Work?
- Average turnaround time is 2-5 business days depending on the complexity of the lab work. Most tests are available in 2-3 days.
Do You Need A List Of My Medications For A Drug Test?
- Per protocol, the lab techs are not allowed to receive or ask for your medications. A medical review officer or MRO, a licensed physician who specializes in toxicology, will call you and ask for your medications and your physician’s phone number if it’s detected in your sample during testing. The MRO will then call your physician to verify your medications.
