Protect Yourself & Your Team This Flu Season with Convenient, Affordable Vaccinations
Influenza is more than just a seasonal nuisance—it’s a potentially life-threatening illness that affects millions every year. According to the CDC, flu-related complications lead to thousands of hospitalizations and deaths annually, even among otherwise healthy individuals. The best defense? A yearly flu vaccine.
Test Smartly Labs offers walk-in flu shots and on-site corporate flu clinics for organizations that want to keep their workforce safe and healthy. Don’t wait until flu season peaks—protect yourself, your family, or your team today.

Why Get a Flu Shot?
The flu shot helps your immune system build antibodies against the most common and dangerous flu strains expected in the upcoming season. Since the influenza virus mutates annually, last year’s shot won’t offer the same protection today.
Key Benefits:
-
Reduces risk of flu illness by 40% to 60% in most seasons
-
Lowers severity of illness even if you do get infected
-
Prevents flu-related complications like pneumonia, bronchitis, and hospitalizations
-
Protects high-risk individuals you may come into contact with
Getting vaccinated also helps reduce the burden on hospitals, especially during times of public health crisis or COVID-19 surges.
How Does the Flu Shot Work?
Each year, researchers from the World Health Organization and CDC analyze circulating strains and predict the most prevalent strains for the upcoming season. The flu vaccine is then updated to target those specific viruses.
The shot contains inactivated (dead) virus components that cannot cause the flu, but stimulate your immune system to produce the antibodies needed to fight infection.
Flu Shot Method:
-
Administered intramuscularly (via a quick injection in the upper arm)
-
Can be safely given at any Test Smartly Labs location or at your workplace by our mobile team
When Should I Get Vaccinated?
Flu season in the U.S. typically spans October through May, with peak activity between December and February.
Best time to get vaccinated:
-
Early fall (September or October) is ideal
-
It takes about two weeks after the shot for full immunity to develop
-
Even mid-season, getting the shot offers meaningful protection—it’s never too late
Who Should—and Shouldn’t—Get a Flu Shot?
Who Should Get Vaccinated:
-
Everyone 6 months and older
-
Pregnant women
-
Individuals with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, heart disease)
-
Healthcare and essential workers
-
Older adults (65+)
-
Caregivers of high-risk individuals
Who Should Avoid It:
-
Children under 6 months of age
-
Individuals with a severe allergic reaction to any component of the flu vaccine
-
People who’ve had Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) after a prior flu vaccine (consult your doctor)
If you’re unsure, we recommend you consult your primary care physician before scheduling.
Common Misconceptions: “Will the Flu Shot Give Me the Flu?”
Absolutely not. The flu shot uses inactivated virus particles, which cannot cause infection. Some people experience mild side effects such as:
-
Soreness at the injection site
-
Low-grade fever
-
Fatigue
These are signs that your immune system is responding appropriately—not symptoms of the flu itself.
