Prevention is better than cure. At Test Smartly Labs, we empower men to take charge of their health with proactive, affordable, and comprehensive lab testing. Whether you’re experiencing symptoms or simply want to track key health markers annually, our Kansas City testing centers and mobile units make it easy to get accurate results—quickly and conveniently.
With nearly 26% of American men lacking a regular source of healthcare, getting routine lab tests could be the difference between early detection and a medical emergency. We’re here to change that statistic—starting with you.
Why Regular Lab Testing for Men Matters
Men face unique health risks throughout their lives, from hormone fluctuations and heart disease to thyroid dysfunction and kidney concerns. Regular testing helps identify these conditions early—long before symptoms escalate.
We make it easy to test annually or as recommended by your doctor. With same-day service and walk-in or scheduled appointments, you’ll always have access to fast, affordable answers.
Hormone Testing for Men
Hormones control many of your body’s key functions, including mood, energy, muscle mass, libido, and even metabolism. Hormonal imbalances can occur at any age due to stress, poor lifestyle habits, aging, or medical conditions.
Common Hormone Tests for Men:
-
Total Testosterone Panel
Measures total, free, and bound testosterone to assess issues like low libido, fatigue, muscle loss, and mood swings. -
Estradiol (Estrogen) Test
Monitors for abnormal levels that may lead to gynecomastia or delayed puberty. -
FSH and LH Testing
Useful in diagnosing infertility, pituitary disorders, or delayed puberty.
Important: Never attempt hormone therapy without a proper diagnosis and consultation. Hormonal levels vary significantly by age and health status—treatment should always be personalized.
Signs of Hormonal Imbalance in Men
Recognize the red flags. If you notice these symptoms, hormone testing is recommended:
-
Low sex drive or erectile dysfunction
-
Fatigue or depression
-
Weight gain or muscle loss
-
Trouble sleeping or decreased mental clarity
-
Gynecomastia (breast tissue development)
-
Infertility or low sperm count
We also offer testing for andropause (male menopause), often caused by a gradual testosterone decline in aging men.
Thyroid Testing for Men
Though less common in men, thyroid issues can drastically affect energy, metabolism, and sexual health. Untreated thyroid dysfunction has been linked to:
-
Erectile dysfunction
-
Low libido and sperm abnormalities
-
Mood disorders
-
Unexplained weight fluctuations
-
Muscle pain and joint stiffness
Recommended Tests:
-
TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone)
-
T3 and T4 hormone levels
-
Thyroid antibody panels (for autoimmune thyroid disease)
Early detection allows your doctor to intervene before symptoms spiral into long-term issues.
Heart Health & Cholesterol Testing for Men
Heart disease remains the #1 cause of death for men in the U.S. Don’t wait for a heart attack to learn your risk. We recommend routine blood work for:
-
Cholesterol and Lipid Profile
-
Triglyceride Levels
-
Blood Pressure Checks
-
Diabetes (A1c and glucose testing)
Poor cholesterol ratios or high triglycerides are early indicators of cardiovascular issues. We’ll help you stay ahead of the risk.
Complete Metabolic Panel (CMP) for Men
Our Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) covers 14 key substances in your blood to give a full snapshot of your health. This includes:
-
Kidney function: Creatinine, BUN, eGFR
-
Liver function: ALT, AST, ALP, bilirubin
-
Glucose and calcium levels
-
Electrolyte balance: Sodium, potassium, chloride
-
Protein markers: Albumin and total protein
Kidney Health Tip: Many kidney issues are silent. Symptoms like back pain, foamy urine, swelling, or fatigue should never be ignored. We offer urine tests for ACR (albumin-to-creatinine ratio) and blood tests for GFR (glomerular filtration rate) to assess kidney function.
Know the Warning Signs of Hormonal Imbalance
Both men and women can suffer from hormonal dysregulation. Here’s a list of common, often overlooked symptoms:
| General Symptoms | Men-Specific Symptoms |
|---|---|
| Fatigue | Erectile dysfunction |
| Weight gain | Decreased beard or body hair |
| Mood swings or depression | Infertility |
| Anxiety or nervousness | Breast tissue growth (gynecomastia) |
| Muscle weakness | Loss of muscle mass |
| Blurred vision | Osteoporosis risk |
If any of these sound familiar, schedule your hormone panel today.

Average turnaround time is 2-5 business days depending on the complexity of the lab work. Most tests are available in 2-3 days.
Do You Need A List Of My Medications For A Drug Test?
Per protocol, the lab techs are not allowed to receive or ask for your medications.
