Getting pregnant is a journey that looks different for every woman. While some conceive quickly, others need time, support, and deeper insight into their reproductive health. At Test Smartly Labs, we offer comprehensive fertility and pregnancy-related hormone testing to help you and your physician understand what’s happening inside your body — so you can take confident steps forward.
Whether you’re actively trying to conceive or just preparing for the future, early testing can save time, money, and stress. Let us help you understand your fertility health with fast, private, and affordable lab testing right here in the Kansas City metro area.
Why Choose Fertility Lab Testing?
Fertility isn’t just about timing — it’s about balance. Your body must produce the right hormones in the right amounts at the right times for conception to occur. When one or more hormones are off, even slightly, it can reduce the likelihood of successful pregnancy.
Hormone testing can help you:
-
Identify hormonal imbalances that affect ovulation
-
Understand your ovarian reserve and egg quality
-
Detect thyroid or pituitary issues
-
Evaluate levels of fertility-critical hormones like estrogen, progesterone, and FSH
-
Start treatments or lifestyle changes earlier to improve your odds
If you’re not sure where to start, Test Smartly Labs offers two structured panels to give you a complete look at your reproductive health.
Our Female Fertility Lab Panels
All fertility testing panels are conducted with professional phlebotomy services at our certified Kansas City locations. No insurance required. No long wait times. Walk-ins welcome.
Female Fertility Profile – Comprehensive
This panel includes essential hormone and diagnostic testing to evaluate your reproductive health baseline:
| Test | Why It’s Important |
|---|---|
| T4 Thyroxine (Free, Direct, Serum) | Assesses thyroid function, which affects ovulation |
| Urinalysis (Complete + Microscopic) | Evaluates kidney function and potential infections |
| DHEA-S | Monitors adrenal function and helps balance sex hormones |
| TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone) | Screens for underactive or overactive thyroid |
| Progesterone | Confirms ovulation and supports early pregnancy |
| Prolactin | Elevated levels can suppress ovulation |
| Estradiol (E2) | A key estrogen marker for ovarian health |
| Estrogens, Total | Tracks estrogen hormone activity overall |
| FSH + LH (Follicle Stimulating & Luteinizing Hormone) | Indicates ovarian function and timing of ovulation |
| Testosterone (Free & Total) | High levels may interfere with regular cycles |
Female Fertility Profile – Ultimate
Includes everything in the Comprehensive Profile, plus:
| Additional Test | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| AMH Serum (Anti-Mullerian Hormone) | Evaluates ovarian reserve and how many eggs you have left |
AMH is especially useful for women over 30, those with irregular periods, or anyone considering IVF or other fertility treatments.

Per protocol, the lab techs are not allowed to receive or ask for your medications. Understanding STI vs STD
STI stands for “Sexually Transmitted Infection” and STD stands for “Sexually Transmitted Disease”. These two terms sound similar and the difference between them can be confusing. One of the reasons for this is that up to a certain point these two terms were synonymous and were used interchangeably. But now there is a technical difference between these terms which has been acknowledged by the medical community and can no longer be used synonymously.
Privacy Matters for STI/STD Testing at Test Smartly Labs
While all health-related matters deserve the utmost privacy and confidentiality, some types of blood tests and lab work need even more. When it comes to STI or STD testing, you do not want to have any small chance of anyone you know finding out about your risks or diagnoses. Of course, if you go to your doctor’s office or even a public clinic, the HIPAA rules require everyone involved to keep your information private and secure. However, you may still have some doubts troubling your mind.
