It can be somewhat easy to find out whether or not your teen is using drugs, all you need to do is pay attention to their behavior and significant changes. It can be much more difficult to determine whether or not your child is dealing drugs. If they aren’t using drugs as well, you might not know what to look for in their behavior or when looking through their room. Keep reading for some of the top signs that your teenager is dealing.
Electronic Scale
Small electronic kitchen scales are commonly used to weigh and measure out the correct amount of drugs per package. While it isn’t very uncommon for dieters to own an electronic kitchen scale if you know for sure your teen isn’t on a diet and if they are keeping it in their room, you might have a problem.
Bulk Packaging Items
These are things like baggies of different sizes, vials, and small folded paper packet. Baggies are usually used for doling out weed but could be used for somewhat “bulkier” drugs like crystal meth in a pinch. Tiny bags are used for pills, tabs of acid, cocaine, PCP, etc. Vials are used for crack, cocaine, meth, heroin — small crystal and powder drugs. Paper packets are used to hold cocaine and heroin, the drug is placed in the center and the paper is folded into an envelope shape.
Unaccountable Money
Have you noticed your teenager going out more, buying new items, and has stopped asking you for money? If they won’t let you know what they do or where they work, they could be getting their cash from drug dealing.
