Comprehensive Illegal Drug Testing
The United States takes drug use very seriously.
There are several groups and organizations set up to monitor, traffic and control drug use in the country, some being the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
Under the leadership of these organizations, policies are put into place determining what makes a drug legal and illegal. But policing drug use is not only the federal government’s job – as a business owner or manager over a workforce, you’re responsible for this, too.
What does this look like?
Identify drug trends
Did you know certain geographic areas have drug trends? We can work with you to develop your customized drug panel tests based on what the drug usage trends seem to be not only in your community but also amongst your workers.
Implement Pre-Employment screening
Rule out risky hires and candidates who would put your workplace at harm. If you have comprehensive drug testing protocols, you can rest easy that you’re hiring reliable, drug-free people.
Know what you’re dealing with
Illegal drugs are substances where there are limits on who can own them or use them. Most illegal drugs are used by people to impair the brain – making them what is called “psychoactive” drugs. There are over 700 pharmaceutical and illicit compounds considered illegal drugs. That’s a lot!
Some illegal drugs are always illegal, no matter how much or when you use them. For example, heroin is illegal no matter what.
Other illegal drugs are illegal when used outside of their recommended use by a doctor, for example opioids or other prescription pain medications.
And some drugs will vary from state-to-state whether they’re illegal, like marijuana.
At Test Smartly Labs, we can be your partner and help educate you and then develop drug testing solutions specifically for your workplace needs.
